With more than 2.7 million entries, the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses (PQDT) database is the most comprehensive collection of dissertations and theses in the world. Graduate students customarily consult the database to make sure their proposed thesis or dissertation topics have not already been written about. Students, faculty, and other researchers search it for titles related to their scholarly interests. Of the millions of graduate works listed, we offer over 1.4 million in full text PDF format. 2.1 million titles are available for purchase as printed copies.
PQDT is a subscription product, and thousands of research libraries around the world use it. If your library does not already subscribe, you can sign up for a trial.
The database includes citations for dissertations from as far back as 1637 to those accepted as recently as last semester. ProQuest Dissertation Publishing publishes over 70,000 dissertations and theses each year, and newly published graduate works are added to the PQDT database on a weekly basis.
In addition, customers can order copies of dissertations through PQDT.
Dissertations & Theses @ is a service that ProQuest provides for its active university publishing partners. The service provides a given university's academic community with free access to citations and abstracts for graduate works from that university. For graduate works published from 1997 forward, a full text PDF will usually be available for free download as well.
For more information, please see the Dissertations & Theses @ page.
