Cambridge, United Kingdom, June 2, 2009 - ProQuest announces the call for entries for is annual Sociological Abstracts Discovery Prize. The competition, open to both faculty and students, offers a $3000 grand prize and $500 honorable mention for the best use of Sociological Abstracts. in assisting in teaching and learning. Prize entries provide practical examples of how Sociological Abstracts can aid in the advancement of sociological scholarship and research. ProQuest is also celebrating excellence in social sciences research with presentations and demonstrations at the Deutscher Bibliothekartag Conference, June 2-5 in Erfurt, Germany. Sociological Abstracts is the industry-leading Sociology product and the choice for Sociologists globally. ProQuest runs an annual competition to give the many thousands of valued users of this product around the globe the opportunity to win a major cash prize. ProQuest is now accepting entries for the 2009 Sociological Abstracts Discovery Prize. Submissions should describe a sociological research project that involved use of Sociological Abstracts and define how the project contributed to teaching and learning in sociology.
