CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom, June 15, 2004 - ProQuest Information and
Learning announce the seventh release of Digitale Bibliothek Deutscher
Klassiker (DKV). With the completion of this exciting project due
in October, DKV provides unparalleled access to a vast array of carefully
edited editions of German Literature from some of the most important authors
and philosophers. The last release focuses on fourteen of Gotthoold Ephraim
Lessing works spanning 1743 to 1781, writings from the influential author
Karl Philipp Moritz, and some of the most influential works of Immanuel
Kant from the Bibliothek der Philosophie. Already holding a vast array of carefully selected literary and non-literary texts, from 11 centuries, DKV includes 156 volumes from more than 30 authors. Our customers can access more than 15,000 works, covering the Romanticism period right up to the Early Modern Age. In addition to new content, ProQuest Information and Learning continues to provide extended functionality that makes DKV accessible and simple to use. Offering both German and English interfaces ensures this product is accessible to an even wider audience. In addition, extensive commentaries accompany each text, complete reproductions of original texts are available, and to make sure we provide unbeatable accuracy, each individual text is double keyed, SGML tagged and proofread by experts. Published by the Deutsche Klassiker Verlag Frankfurt am Main , ProQuest are delighted to make available DKV as a comprehensive virtual library for users worldwide. DKV is established as a very important part of our impressive German Literature Collection suite, including Die Deutsche Lyrik and other works by Schiller, Goethe, Brecht, and Kafka.
